The designer, Gabe, is not as cruel as I am but it is pretty close. Well anyway, I'm obviously biased but I love this game - and I think if you like Getting Over It you'll probably like this one too. Build up nearly unstoppable momentum and use your captors as both weapons and shields to crush everyone on your procedurally generated path to freedom. Here's the official description from Devolver:ĪPE OUT is a wildly intense and colorfully stylized smash ‘em up about primal escape, rhythmic violence, and frenetic jazz. This time it's not a 'Bennett Foddy' game, but something I've been working on with two of my good friends, as an artist and level designer. It's been a year and a half since I launched Getting Over It with Bennett Foddy, and today I'm able to share the release of APE OUT, which is one of the things I've been working on since then. Fix an issue where going from back to the settings menu would revert language to English Couple of extra little spots where the hammer could get stuck (barrel and toilet) fixed. Finally fixed the perf issue with the particles near the antenna Finally fixed the rare save game bug, I hope I tested this with the speedrunning community, seems it shouldn’t have a major impact on feel, just make the game a tiny bit more consistent. Small change to the shape of the pot collider that should reduce the incidence of the pot unexpectedly gripping to the world, especially on slopes. Build is signed for running on newer versions of MacOS Go to the properties for the game, go to the betas tab, type password 'nakedmaninapot' and choose the version you want (the previous version was 1.599). Thanks to the Discord community for helping to test it and iron out bugs.Īs always, the older versions are still there on Steam if you prefer them. This is mainly a big compatibility update to new version of Unity, should help the game to run on newer hardware (including Apple M1) and also produce smoother gameplay. If this affects you, while we wait for Microsoft to fix it, I recommend you try running the game at some different screen resolutions - for other games I am told this has fixed the issue. There is a recent automatic Windows update that can cause certain combinations of graphics cards report invalid resolutions to the game. Great mysteries and a wonderful reward await the master hikers who reach the top. With practice, you'll be able to jump, swing, climb and fly. You move the hammer with the mouse, and that's all there is. edit2 if the previous steps don't work, try going to Steam's Game Properties -> General Tab -> Set Launch Options and add "-force-d3d9" Getting Over It with Bennett Foddy is a punishing climbing game, a homage to Jazzuo's 2002 B-Game classic 'Sexy Hiking'. edit in some cases it seems to also be caused by Malwarebytes or other antivirus. If that doesn't work, try setting your desktop resolution to a lower level before starting the game. You can window and then fullscreen the game to get it working, as a workaround. This seems to be an incompatibility with certain graphics drivers. I see a black screen on load, but I can hear the wind noise. Everyone's mouse driver is different, but I did find that if I used the trackpad tuning, my playtesters reported getting really bad hand cramps. You can use 'trackpad tuning' if you like, which has no acceleration curve. This will be fixed for 99% of cases in the Steam release, December 6th. I got stuck with my hammer inside the grill / a rock / the antenna After that, try using lower quality settings.įinally, some users have had problems with G-sync causing the game to run slowly, so if you have a G-sync capable machine make sure it is disabled.Ģ. Lowering the resolution and turning off motion blur will have a huge impact on performance in this game. Second, the game is just quite heavy on shader performance, so before you try anything else, try adjusting some settings - either hit ESC during the game, or go to the settings menu from the title screen. Add the game to Bitdefender's whitelist - instructions here: Going to keep a list here of common problems and solutions:įirst of all, if you have Bitdefender security software on your computer, it may cause the game to run slow.

Every Masterpiece saxophone is working perfectly when it leaves me.īefore manufacturers ship their saxophones to suppliers, they usually insert packing wedges to support the keys in transit. Now that I have found a reliable supplier I still check every saxophone to make sure it is playable. Some of my competitors must be buying from them because those factories are still in business. I don’t buy from those factories anymore. Some suppliers sent me saxophones that were so badly made they were unplayable. When I first started offering colored saxophones I bought them from several different suppliers. You can even find cheaper colored saxophones than the ones I sell, but I cannot recommend them because I have no control or faith in the quality. However, there won’t be any WOW! factor, because Yamaha does not make colored saxophones.įurthermore, their student model 280 costs $1480 – about 3 X as much as my Masterpiece brand. Occasionally, I need to make a small adjustment, which involves tightening a tiny screw about 10 degrees. I’m a saxophone teacher and I hire and sell my Masterpiece brand saxophones to my students. On November 28, 2007, Google Maps for Mobile 2.0 was released. Īs of 2007, Google Maps is equipped with a miniature view with a draggable rectangle that denotes the area shown in the main viewport, and "Info windows" for previewing details about locations on maps. In September 2005, in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, Google Maps quickly updated its satellite imagery of New Orleans to allow users to view the extent of the flooding in various parts of that city. The launch of Google Maps was first announced on the Google Blog on February 8, 2005. In September 2004, Google acquired ZipDash, a company that provided real-time traffic analysis. In the same month, Google acquired Keyhole, a geospatial data visualization company (with investment from the CIA), whose marquee application suite, Earth Viewer, emerged as the Google Earth application in 2005 while other aspects of its core technology were integrated into Google Maps. where it transformed into the web application Google Maps. In October 2004, the company was acquired by Google Inc. It was first designed to be separately downloaded by users, but the company later pitched the idea for a purely Web-based product to Google management, changing the method of distribution. Google Maps first started as a C++ program designed by two Danish brothers, Lars and Jens Eilstrup Rasmussen, and Noel Gordon and Stephen Ma, at Sydney-based Where 2 Technologies. In 2017, the app was reported to have two billion users on Android, along with several other Google services including YouTube, Chrome, Gmail, Search, and Google Play. By 2013, it was found to be the world's most popular smartphone app, with over 54% of global smartphone owners using it. Google Maps for Android and iOS devices was released in September 2008 and features GPS turn-by-turn navigation along with dedicated parking assistance features. It is still possible to switch back to the 2D map in the settings. In August 2018, the desktop version of Google Maps was updated to show a 3D globe. Google Maps previously used a variant of the Mercator projection, and therefore could not accurately show areas around the poles. Much of the available satellite imagery is no more than three years old and is updated on a regular basis, according to a 2011 report. Google Maps' satellite view is a "top-down" or bird's-eye view most of the high-resolution imagery of cities is aerial photography taken from aircraft flying at 800 to 1,500 feet (240 to 460 m), while most other imagery is from satellites. However, crowdsourced contributions to Google Maps were not discontinued as the company announced those features would be transferred to the Google Local Guides program. Google Map Maker allowed users to collaboratively expand and update the service's mapping worldwide but was discontinued from March 2017. Google Maps offers an API that allows maps to be embedded on third-party websites, and offers a locator for businesses and other organizations in numerous countries around the world. The service's front end utilizes JavaScript, XML, and Ajax. After additional acquisitions of a geospatial data visualization company and a real-time traffic analyzer, Google Maps was launched in February 2005. In October 2004, the company was acquired by Google, which converted it into a web application. Google Maps began as a C++ desktop program developed by brothers Lars and Jens Rasmussen at Where 2 Technologies. As of 2020, Google Maps was being used by over one billion people every month around the world. It offers satellite imagery, aerial photography, street maps, 360° interactive panoramic views of streets ( Street View), real-time traffic conditions, and route planning for traveling by foot, car, bike, air (in beta) and public transportation. Google Maps is a web mapping platform and consumer application offered by Google.
